From Pandora Street In Victoria, British Columbia to Queen Street east in Toronto, Ontario and beyond, national community opposition is growing against the open drug use, crime, violence and disorder, often associated with nearby "safe injection sites" or homeless shelters in our cities.
A shocking in-depth, national Globe and Mail profile said "(Pandora) has morphed into one of the largest open-air drug markets in Western Canada," where first responders who perform drug overdose reversals won't enter the area without police escort.
The Barrie, Ont., Mayor Alex Nuttall declared a state of emergency in response to homeless encampments and lawlessness.

People are increasingly afraid to leave their homes or staff their businesses their streets are so unsafe. Random violence and robberies occur daily with those accused often quickly released on the same day! Crime is destroying our downtown cores.

Two thirds of businesses in BC say crime, violence and disorder has only gotten worse. "Perhaps most concerning, almost one in five (19 per cent) owners said their business may not be financially viable beyond the next year if the situation does not improve."
